Former Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid was a wonderful player who did amazingly for India for many years. Since making his debut in test cricket in the year 1996 this humble and simple Rahul Dravid created many records in tests and was spoken highly. It must be noted that he also made superb records in shorter format of cricket and was simply superb with his rock solid defence combined with some attractive strokes.

Rahul Dravid is again making noises now for the reason that he had declined the honorary doctorate degree from the prestigious Bangalore University. According to him earning this doctorate degree through his hard work is much more valued than getting this degree as honour from the university. Rahul Dravid expressed his thoughts regarding this and said he wanted to do something worthier in academic research in the sports field.

Not many would do what Rahul Dravid has done now by saying a firm ‘’No’’ for this doctorate degree as a honour and he has grabbed many eyeballs now for this reason.

It is worthy to mention that this cricketer grew up in the city of Bangalore and represented India superbly. It must be noted that the 52nd Annual Convocation ceremony would take place on 27th January 2017 and this Bangalore University wanted to honour Indian cricketer Rahul Dravid for his immense contributions in the game of cricket.

Further this Bangalore University had stated that Rahul Dravid in all humility declined to accept the honorary doctorate degree. Great Rahul Dravid!!
