As reported by TOI, Harleen Kaur Mann, a girl (native from Barnala, Punjab) has got enrolled for PhD in Astronomy at University of Bern.
She will get 47,040 Swiss Francs (equal to Rs 30 lakh) a year as honorarium from Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF) to pursue PhD in Astronomy at the university.
Harleen said to the publication that her ultimate goal was to study Masters and PhD in Europe and now my dream has come true. She has already completed masters and now getting ready for the PhD.
